As you will be aware, Hamas, the Gazan terror group invaded Israel on the morning of Saturday, October 7th last. They committed unspeakable atrocities against the civilian population including women, children and the elderly, murdered over 1,400 people and took over 200 hostages back to Gaza.
On Sunday, October 15th, the Ireland Israel Alliance held a rally, march and prayer vigil in Dublin. The prayer vigil at the Embassy of Israel in Ireland was organised by Irish Christian Friends of Israel. This was to show our support for the Israeli nation at this deeply distressing time.
Attendees assembled outside the gates of the Dáil in Kildare Street at 2:30 pm before marching to the Israeli embassy in Shelbourne Road, Ballsbridge.
Speakers included Paul Coulter, Deputy Director of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (Ireland); former Irish Minister for Justice and Defence, Alan Shatter; Senior Pastor of All Nations Church, John Ahern; Ireland Israel Alliance CEO, Jackie Goodall, and representatives of the Israeli community in Ireland.
The crowd later marched to the Israeli embassy where there was a Christian and Jewish service, with prayers said for peace for Israelis and for innocent civilians in Gaza.
Below are pictures of the march and rally. You’ll also find some videos of the event on our videos page.
